The journey for the Hill is to be made a bit early in the morning or else will have to miss those precious moments. So getting up at around 3:00 am and got ready for the trip. The car came at around 3:30 am and were up to the car. Within few minutes it is realized that not just the car but a huge number of tourists were also making it to the Tiger Hill. The streets were gathering with more and more number of cars following our car.
On reaching there, everyone was left open-mouthed to see the crowds gathered there and have already made their spaces available. It was a bit upsetting, thinking to not have found the perfect place for the view. People of all age groups were equally excited and enthusiast. There was huge hustling and bustling going around. And then finally the moment arrived, the sun was slowly and steadily rising along with its alluring golden-yellow rays.
The rays hit Mt. Kanchenjunga and its snow-capped peaks slowly turns from pale white to orange-red and then finally golden in color. Making every person to believe it a hill of gold. Suddenly all the screams and yell turned to silence and everyone was immersed in the beauty of the Mt. Kanchenjunga and the mighty Mt. Everest. Tourists captured every possible moment in their cameras. The disappointment of not being able to find a perfect place for the view was all in vain but everyone was just mesmerized by the beauty. The actual beauty of that moment cannot be explained exactly until one visits and witness himself. The more the beauty is described, the less it seems to be.
It needs to be lucky enough to witness the amazing beauty. Locals say that the best time to visit the Tiger Hill to see the sunrise is between October to March. If the sky is not clear, viewing this beauty will be denied. If one is not lucky enough, they will be back with a heavy heart.
